2025 Annual Fisheree Recap
With temperatures steady in the single digits and gusty west winds, over 250 determined anglers tried their luck on Butternut Lake. Generally, ice conditions were good for vehicle traffic as there was only a few inches of snow. Keeping in mind, no ice is completely safe and always check local conditions before venturing out on the ice. Fishing success was very good as 97 total fish were registered at Bobbers. There were 23 northern pike, 17 walleye, 36 perch and 22 crappie. 20 of those fish were released this year. The kids 12 and under category was new this year and proved to be popular as there were 30 fish registered by kids. Another new item enjoyed by onlookers, was a spectacular fireworks display soon after dark.
