Wakeboat Reform Coalition
Join the Coalition!
As many are aware, there is now a powerful Wisconsin based coalition working to lobby Madison for wakeboat reforms that would provide minimum protections for our lakes and rivers statewide.
We’‘re now up to 43 Wisconsin based organizations, representing many different interests across our State. More importantly, these groups represents tens of thousands of Wisconsin voters.
If you are part of a lake association, fishing club, sailing club, Sanitary District, homeowners association or any other group interested in joining, please email [email protected] for more information.
Joining the coalition is free and your only obligation is to lend your support (and a logo) to our growing movement. The more groups we have, the more powerful our voice in Madison will be.
To join the Coalition, one only needs to agree with the Four Pillars (paraphrased):
- Wakesports to take place at least 700 feet from shore
- Wakesports to occur in at least 30-foot water depth
- Wakeboat ballast tanks to be thoroughly cleaned before moving from lake to lake
- Local municipalities and lake districts may enact more stringent regulations than those noted above.
